The short version

Hanzi Writing Hub does not use cookies for tracking, analytics or advertising. There are no ad networks, no social plugins and no third-party analytics on this site.

What we store, and where

To make the worksheets remember what you were doing, a few small preferences are saved in your own browser (local storage and IndexedDB). They never leave your device and are never sent to us:

• the interface language you selected;
• the settings you last used on a worksheet page — paper size, orientation, grid style, font and similar options;
• any font file you load yourself from your own computer (kept in IndexedDB).

Clearing them

You can remove all of it at any time by clearing site data for this domain in your browser settings. On a worksheet page, the Reset button also clears the settings saved for that page.

Text you type

What you type into a worksheet is rendered locally in your browser. It is not uploaded, we never see it, and it disappears when you close the page.

Fonts and other resources

Fonts, styles and scripts are served from this site itself. Nothing is requested from external servers, so no usage data is shared with third parties while you work.
